Gymkhana'ed

A late change of car and class due to an odd and still to be sorted electrical fault meant that we had to change to using the road car. This is another Rover 200 1.4 16v, but this is totally standard. So we changed to the standard production car class and swopped the wheels round and off we went.

The first run of tests proved that the cold wet and windy conditions left very little grip. We tried running more tyre pressure at the front to get the tyres working better. This resulted in a lot mroe front end grip aand this allowed us to get into the 'grove' We had a good day's sport with only a few scares/sideways moments in what is my road car and had to get me to work the next day !

We ended up taking the class win by 47 seconds from my father-in-law who was probably rueing our change in class ! This placed us in 12th overall, tieing on time withh 11th overall, out of 74 starters.
I was also navving Suze who was driving and we had a good run to 5th in class and 27th overall.

Here is a pic of us in the very wet conditions - many thanks to the marshals who braved the elements !
