Bustard Prep

Well the new (re-built late spec, Gartrac cased R65) gearbox is now in and road-tested. With a much nicer gearshift and hopefully gears which will stay in i.e. it won't jump out of 1st, 2nd or Reverse like the old box did! Also it hopefully looks like the quite major engine oil leak has been solved with a newly fitted rear crank seal.

Two new Sportways have been fitted and scrubbed in during the road test.

However there are still plenty of 'smaller' jobs still to be done, these include :-

- Fit new headlight units (current ones the lenses seem to be old and blocking light)
- Repair spotlight mount (post Goodwood incident)
- Re-wire spotlights and fit mounts in the car to allow the spots to be carried in the car during day-light tests (to hopefully save them from damage)
- Fit new mud-flap
- Pack car
- Wash car (inside & out)

Plus with plenty of jobs to be done to Suze's (my wife) car, I have lots still to do !
