Year in review

Firstly the Bagger, was REALLY looking forward to this, and it was great all the way until ITC6...... A bit too much speed for a downhill K left, left us (Kevin A on the maps) the option of the bank or a field where some higher seeded crew had already taken out the gate (thanks it saved my spots). Getting stuck on the track back out ruined the event - thanks to the recovery crew for you quick work ! Tried hard for the rest of the event, a puncture didn't help nor did Kev's mal de nav, but we got a finish. Shouldn't have given up so easily and pushed on harder and I my have beaten the Wife !

Next up was the first a few PCT's in the Micra, good fun local events, and apart from burning out the clutch at one (thanks Mr RAC man) we had fun and I managed to take the class win in ASEMC championship - which was good

CMC Gymkhana's.....
1st one a very late change to the road rover, due to the rally rover not wanting to play ball (sodding earth faults). Worked out well and took the class win over father-in-law who I think was a little miffed at my change of class
2nd one was good fun like that all are
3rd one was the best, some great tests and that gravelly section with the 90's was ace

The 7Oaks sprint at Crystal Palace, was a bit different, but good to have been there, and I was surprised at the crowds and the interest they showed. Well done to them for making it all work.

Essex Charity Stages, was not to be..... a VERY VERY hard landing on the 1st stage on the sea walls ripped the inner drivers front wing away - game over and almost shell over. Thanks to Colin & Kevin Smith for a good repair and at a good price.

Due to effect of the sea walls I couldn't drive on the Drystone, so instead of a peaceful night at home whilst Suze was driving. I went out and borrowed Leadfoot's company car and had fun, although towing back Dave's broken BMW in an under-powered Diesel Astra was hard work after being up for over 24hr !

A hot day at North Weald and a borrowed set of tyres (thanks Andy Elcomb) and I used and abused the Eunos at the AutosoloRubbish result, but lots of drifting and sidewaysness

Back to North Weald and a sprint this time as a shakedown for a load of Enduro's in the Autumn, a very close battle for class honours, but missed out by 0.5sec.....

A week later the Bullnose and it was good to return to the Endean/Leadbetter duo. A good run and apart from the spelling test it was a great result and event.

Then back to North Weald once again, having only landed at Heathrow 12 hrs before, it felt VERY wet and cold. For another 7Oaks autosolo, this time in the rally car complete with Bullnose mud, a quick change of tyres early on lead to a good run - with another class win

Then down to the Exmoor, which like the Bagger was a event to forget, punctures galour, PR issues on the night route and getting stuck down a white all lead to yet another event where the Wife beat me.... !

The EACS saw us (Chris Bowden) back in the groove with a pleasing 5th O/A. A great event - well done to Paul and the team for running for a small turnout. I hope the Britvic is a return to more entries.....
