We had a good day at the ex. WWII Airfield at Bradwell-on-Sea. The day had a mixture of conditions with light snow causing wet & slippery conditions for a while. However the strong wind dried this up and left an improving track.
I ran a data logger during some of the sessions and this first picture is of the g-Loading's both acceleration and lateral displayed in a g-Circle format. The course was low speed so no major lateral g-loadings, but the brakes are working well showing nearly -1.0g of braking force.
The day was spent reviewing shock settings (much lower on the front) and trying to improve the rears, but with not much luck. They still seem to be very tough and cause the car to become unsettled. I think after four years of rallying they are getting a bit too worn out, even with a recent re-build..... :(
I also sat in with Jamie Turner to try and learn some of his magic, the main area he seemed faster on was how smooth he was in the car. Although it was pleasing I could set the same time as him in the same car :) Both Jamie & Owen liked the car and the way it handled.
More data from the data logging with follow and hopefully some video on YouTube
