EACS - Chelmsford MC - Endurance Rally

Well that was good fun.

A good return to form for me and the Rover and hope people noticed the lack of tank tape holding bumpers on this weekend !

We had good run throughout the event, with no major issues for once. The worse part was stalling right in front of Andy on the night route !! :D

I enjoyed Woodbridge and was pleased to take 3rd fastest on the last lap round there, beating some of the Emerald ECU'ed cars.

The gamble we took with tyres paid off, but did lead to some time dropped on the 2nd run of the gravel tests. The tyres I had were worn Firestones on the front which were good on the tarmac tests, but got progressively worse on the gravel. These were very worn by the end of Woodbridge (like a few others) so we changed to the set of Colways I had given to me by FBF25T (thank Steve ;) ). These worked very well in the forest, a little too well and with Firestones on the back it made the car very sideways. Good fun, but not so quick, thankfully we were just quick enough to take 5th overall and 2nd in class :)

Thanks to all the organisers, results team, set-up crews marshals for a top fun day out.

Hopefully pictures will follow soon.

I now have more pictures from the Bullnose and Exmoor Endurance rallies and the last Gymkhana, so a few more pictures will follow soon......
